right now im downloading a torrent that has 50 peers and 10 seeds. its downloading at 25kb/s. my uploading speed is set to be maxed out at 40kb/s. the upload speed stays at 40 all the time. its always uploading faster than downloading. just so you all know i have a top of the line mac powerbook with verizon dsl. i just ran a speed test on my computer and it said 1468 kbps download
    370 kbps upload

i think it should be running alot faster. if i was using limewire and there was 10 people i was downlo0ading from it would be downloading alot faster. and with torrent program its supposed to be faster. ive been downloading movies from fenopy.com and a couple other sites. i have it set on unlimited downloading speed and the firewall is disabled. can someone please tell me every different thing possible that i could click on to maybe speed up the downloads. even if you guys think its running at the proper speed could you tell me every option possible so i know its running at the fastest possible. thank you

use bit torrent osx. google bit torrent for mac. It works a lot better no settings crap like azuerus. Just go into prefs set port to 5555. Then upload to like 60kbs. Then set your router port to 5555 with your ip. you know how it goes.

yes go ahead and use bittorrent but warning bit torrent isn't compatible any more with illegal torrents ones without trackers so they will no longer work under bittorrent client azureus is the only way to go on mac especially is using no tracker torrents there are a lot of no tracker torrents going around right now for mac to hide the ip address from the riaa and miaa
