my uncle is trading me pc's but my old card is a AGP and this pc just has pci exspress so i was wanding would i get better/worse or same graphics from this intergrated gpu vs my AGP?
thats my old agp(5500 256mb) and my new mobo has 6100 intergrated and to be honest they seemed about the same to me. but if this new board off your uncle has pci-e you can get loads of newwer gcards for that slot that are cheaper than the agp versions.
you are better off with the pci/e slot as agp cards & agp motherboards are or will be soon stopped manufactured
you might need to alocate the on board graphics some more of your ram, but you can get another, better, card for quite cheap as pci-e ones cost less than the agp version of the same card. i as looking at buying an agp 7600gt and for the same amount i got a new mobo, better hsf and a 7600gt pci-e
