Hi, Like many, I am planning on purchasing a new TV. Now here are the things I know that I want. It's going to be either 40' or 42' LCD. That's it. I don't know what to do next. There are many many options, and I need some help to decide on this. Price tag around $1500. Can I get some advice regarding which companies are the best (Sony, Samsung?) in the LCD market. All I could find was a bunch of customer ratings for many TV's, but they're customer ones, and not that reliable. I mean, great TV... ok... ok, you see what dilemma I'm in? thank you.

thanks. but quality-wise, do some companies have an advantage over others. Or can the little guy seven top the big ones like Sony?
For the size that your looking for, Flat Panel LCDs. Sharp, Sony, Samsung, & Panasonic are all good brands. I think Sharp is probably the best of those mentioned.
