DVI to HDMI

    was wondering if I use a DVI to HDMI cable if there are any real benefits for video playback etc other than DVI to DVI.

    Also was wondering if using a DVI to HDMI cable will allow me to stream sound to my monitor without additional cables.

    DVI is just video so you'll still need audio cables.

    so DVI->HDMI will stream the audio to my TV/monitor?

    It should be fine depending on the cable or adapter.
