Just recently I upgraded my graphics card from a Radeon X700 pci-e to a Radeon X800 pci-e. Now whenever I try to play Oblivion or Stubbs I get this annoying popping sound coming from my speakers. My sound card used to be slotted right underneath the video card, so I moved it down a slot. This decreased the popping somewhat, but its still there. This never happened with the old X700 card, so is it possible that the new graphics card is creating the problem?

Btw my sound card is an Audigy 2 ZS, and I'm running my audio through my old Aiwa CX-ZR525 stereo.

it sounds like its related if thats when it started,i guess all your drivers are upto date, so, i would guess its the gpu sucking all the power and the sound card is suffering. what is your psu rated at?

i think you will need about 400/450w

My psu is only 350W, and its pretty new. I originally had a 300w.
