Hi! I bought the Sunsway/ST Lab PCI SATA 2P, SiL3112 (http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.asp?sku=118181) I have Windows XP. I put the card in the system and installed the drivers. When I'm connecting the new SATA drive to the PCI Card and turn the PC this happens : -Memory test (I can see all my 4 IDE Drives) -Inteface of the PCI Sata card where I can see my new SATA drive -Interface of my motherboard Satacontroller with my 2 sata drives -Interface of all the compoments on the motherboard (Just like normal) After this the system usally starts Windows. But it just turns black! And nothing happens! Any suggestions? Could somebody help me? Thank you!
The Sata Card is only for Sata 1 and the harddisk is Sata 2. But I converted the harddisk to Sata 1 with a jumper. The drivers on the motherboard are also Sata 1. And the two Sata disks on the moderboard are converted to Sata 1 too. (They work)
I can't find the "edit" button I'm sorry. But I have solved the problem if anybody get the same problem as I had maybe this information could help you: In the BIOS I went to Pncp and PCI configuration and saw on which PCI port the Sata card was. Detection was on "auto" and I changed it to the value "3". (Please don't ask me what it means Now it is working fine. Remember the problem was that I couldn't start my system with : 4IDE drives on motherboard 2 SATA drives on motherboard 1 SATA drive on the SATA PCI CARd I hope this helped somebody!
