I was reading this forum thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/203286 and it explains stuff well well anyway, I was wondering about lockable hdd's. at the bottom of that thread there is a link to a page with lockable hdd's. next to the list of lockable hdd's it says what tools it uses, and then says stuff like xboxhdm and other stuff and i was wondering, are these the only tools that you are able to lock that drive with? sorry about not being a very good explaner
i think what you mighta been lookin at was the list that was created by other xbox modders. the programs that are listed next to each hdd are the programs the modder used to build and lock the hdd. all you basically need to use is xboxhdm, if you can ftp into your xbox and pull your eeprom.bin file onto your computer. this is one of the quickest ways to get the job done: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=244043 just make sure your jumper setting on your blank hdd is set to master.
