Maintaing subtitles when ripping from dvd

    I recently completed a dvd with subtitles, and I wish to keep these subtitles when converting the dvd to an avi or mpg so they are ingrained in the video and not seen as an option (as in a vob or mp4)

    Could anyone recommend any good software/methods for doing this. I want to be able to post the video w/ subs to google video, youtube, etc.
