Playing MP3 on SD2200

    I am unable to play MP3 CDs on a SD2200 through a Denon 5800. Regular music CDs OK. I don't have the original specs for the SD2200, but I suspect it does not recognize the MP3 format. Is there a software upgrade available?

    "SD2200" portable device? Standalone unit? Software proggie?
    If its either portable device/standalone unit, odds are that it doesnt have an MP3 decoder and so it cant play ur mp3s

    SD2200 is stand alone unit connected via 'S'cable to the Denon 5800. Concur that the SD2200 'probably' doesn't have an MP3 decoder. That's why I was looking for a hardware/software solution vs replacing the SD2200 with a new DVD/DVD-RW unit that has all the new audio features as well - if that is possible?
