Hi just got New geforce Card 7600gt i was playing flight simulator x and whn im flying for a bout 60mins u go to change few computer restarts it self. dont know what it is im guessing cpu over heat im going to core2 1.8ghz 250 bux what u think better then p4 3.2ghz ht
just downloaded 91.47 it dose not want to install i deleted the old driver just come up the contents of this file cant be unpacked it has been corrupted plese contain another copy
the latest drivers are optimised for newwer products. get it again here but make sure that the old one is removed from the control panle,add/remove programs, but before the restart, delete the folder in c drive called nvidia, empty trash can, then restart and install the new driver that you downloaded. sidenote that driver is for xp and win 2k only.
i think you might need to wait for a newwer driver as it seems a common problem with the 7600gt. mine has done it twice in a month but only on battlefield 2, no other games. i have read about it on several forums and it does seem to be worse with the older drivers. what make is your 7600gt? now if you want to buy a new cpu, great, but if you want to go c2d you need to check your mobo and psu are upto it, and you may need new ram for another mobo.
