I'm trying to convert some VCR tapes to DVD. They've been run through a VCR/DVD combo unit and from the resulting disc I have recovered VOB files on my hard drive. The recovered VOB file plays OK from the HDD, both video and sound. But when Nerovision is finished the sound is missing. I point Nerovision to the VOB file and tell it to burn the DVD. The process works fine for the video but there is no sound on the resulting DVD. No sound on desktop, laptop, DVD player to TV. I've searched (google and forums) for days and I find references to people having similar problems, but there are either no answers given or the answers have not worked for me - such as downloading specific versions known to be stable, using the clean tool and re-installing. The computer is about 5 years old, runs Win98 and I have not had any problems burning DVDs with Nero, just this Nerovision authoring problem. Any ideas?
Versions are Nero 6.6.0.18 (recommended elsewhere as being stable but still gave me no sound.) Nerovision 3.1.0.21 (also recommended as being stable.) I will chase up logfile, but with deleting and re-installing it might be gone.
Went looking for log file but only found the most recent which is of a successful completion of another project.
You have 2 threads going so I am going to request this one closed. Other thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/414719
If the forum only wants one thread at a time from any person I am OK with that, but these two threads are about two different questions. I have two other Nero questions that I was planning for other threads, as it's not my normal practice to mix different questions in one thread. Is there some local protocol that I need to know about how many threads at once?
