Hello. I have looked around in Google for the USB driver for a Samsung X426 and haven't found anything yet. When I connect the phone to the computer all it does is charge the phone but it does not recognize it for data transfer or for dial-up connection. Can anyone help me?
The drivers are located here for the the 426 as well as many other samsung models. 1. Unzip Driver file and remember location. 2. Make sure your cable is plug into your phone and then plug USB end into your PC or Laptop 3. Your computer should now indicate that ‘New Hardware is found” 4. A Driver Wizard screen should pop up. Click “Next” 5. You should see two options available · Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended) · Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I . can choose a specific driver. 6. Choose the (Recommended) choice. 7. Point to the saved location in Step 1. 8. Click next and your PC should find the driver
i tried that and it doesnt do anything?? is there another driver that does require dial up because i have dsl... any help would be great thanks.. the phone is a samsung sgh e317 and the usb cord is compatibal with it but it has a sticker on the back that say's for sam x426,.....
The instructions here didn't work for me either. When I plugged the usb to my computer it doesn't show the "new hardware found" message. The usb cable for most older samsung models is the same. The important thing you need to get is the driver for your specific model so your computer can recognize your phone. Hope this helps. Good luck finding the driver. If you find one that works let me know. I need that one too. =)
