    list of things to do

    1. make sure the mac comes with mac os x tiger because in spring you need os x tiger to upgrade to leopard

    2. make sure you do not get a power pc g3 processor yes all though cheaper not recommended

    3. make sure it comes with all restore disks

    4. do not purchase from china or the u.k or france or africa do to ebay scams you will never see the computer and your money will be gone

once you received your laptop or desktop

    1. format or just purchase a new hard drive and restart from scratch good reason because a lot of macs on ebay come with stolen software from limewire and bittorrent and frostwire and if you get caught with it your arressted not the person who sold you the system also viruses could be hidden on the system

    2. upgrade the memory if you have the money

    powerpc g4 g5 1 gig max

    intel based -2 gig max

    3.re install os x

    4.update os x

5.then find some good free office apps there are a lot of them availible for mac

    6.have fun and enjoy
