ive tryed 3 diffrent movies and they all do it does it on dvds and wmv video files. i never see it in game. Also today i booted it up and it seemed to work fine so i decided to make sure it was gonna stay fixed so i rebooted and it started doing it again. Does this sound like the graphic card? i tryed 2 ati driver i even tryed omega drivers.

Its hard to exasplain what it does. the pic is viewable just in certain spots on video it have hickups. On dvd movies there s ripping artitfacts in the same place everytime and it flashed sometimes. On wmv its more random with green dots that look like a poiter. I got it at newegg so i have 30 days to get a refund and 1 year to replace. Should i get it replaced? it handles my games well but i use alot of video on my pc. This is very annoying since ive had bad computer luck all week -_-

to anwser your question i cant try it on a diffrent pc this is the onyl one with pci-exspress slot. Ive googled the green dot artifact like crazy i cant find a fix. I hope it is the graphic card then i can just get a new one without problems. I pretty sure its not overheating because soon as i shut it down i opend the case and felt the heatsink and it wasnt very warm at all. I usally get alot of help on afterdawn but i guess this is a rare problem?

So i should send it back? shipping it back is gnna cost like 10$ that why i was wondering if it wasa software fix. So it is the video ram? that would cause video to show it and not games?

Don't RMA it online. Take the time to call newegg. If you speak to someone you'll have a good chance of getting the shipping back waived. Or they'll give you a credit.

Today and yesterday when i first booted my pc it didn really show the artifacting as bad till i leave it on a bit. sounds like overheating but ive felt of the heatsink after being on for awhile and it just felt barely warm. Could it still be the card? also if it was overheating wouldnt it happen in game more? Even tho im rmaing it back for replacement im very confused. My pc has been on for about 10 mins and is doing hte green dots already again. and it is very cold in my room.
