I know that the Verizon GUI is different and doesn't allow me to use the phone to the fullest.

But I have a question about it.

I see that in the music section there are sync options. What are those for? Cause I can't seem to sync it. Also I've heard that the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools works with putting music, video's, and images on the phone. Is this true? If it is true is this it?

    http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Mobile-Phone-Tools-3-0/dp/B0007RXHUG

I saw that it has some bad reviews as well... is what there saying true?

I would like to use the phone as much as I can, will getting this Motorola Mobile Phone Tools allow me to put music, pics, video's on my phone?

And if not, is there another way?

    Thank you.

It is possible to use Motorola Phone Tools to put ringtones, video's and images on your Verizon razr. However, you have to perform some SEEM edits so that your phone will allow it. To perform a SEEM edit, go to this site http://hacktherazr.com/guide.seem.edit.html

After you learn how to perform a SEEM edit, you need to perform two of them: 1)Enabling USB transfers and 2)Enabling Multimedia Studio (MMS)

There is a list of different SEEM edits that you can do. Have fun, but be careful.

The website you provided is in fact the program, however, it is an older version. Try finding version 4.0 instead. After you have performed the necessary SEEM edits, this program will work flawlessly (at least I have found none myself). It's features include being able to upload pictures from your computer and cropping them to an appropriate size based on the screen size of your phone. For ringtones, you can transfer any mp3 song you have on your computer. You can also clip the songs to whatever length you want(it's better to keep them short since your phone will not ring for the entire length of an actual song anyway, this way you'll have more room for more ringtones). I myself have never transferred a video to my phone. I've seen no use for it.

Note: the site given specifies for a Motorola Razr v3c, but will work for the v3m as well.

Does this require any modding to the cell phone? Like rewriting stuff in it? I read your topic, but it was a tad confusing.
