How to softmod an xbox

I have been reading many tutorials on how to softmod an xbox, and just about everyone that i have read.....well hasnt worked for me. I have the original spinter cell ( a platinum edition, and a non platinum ). i have downloaded a file that a site gave me splintercell runlinux i have dragged the file over to my memory card from armax i have the file on my memorey card so i take it out and then put it in my xbox i copy the linux file to my xbox hard drive and then i restart my xbox andthe pop in splinter cell ( non platinum ) then i go to start game, linux, check points andthen it wont do anything it pretty much freezes up. so i restart my xbox and try it again.....the same thing.


Does anyone know a solution?

 

Where did you get the splinter cell files? Try a new set and make sure you're using the correct verions of the save (PAL\NTSC)

 

Also there should be 2 splinter cell files, u can go here

Yeah i have read a tut and saved it. I read the tut rong and now i failed to load map. If anyone knows if i can just try it over tell me plz. I would like a modder that has some experiance.
