fx-55 and 250GB SATA hard drive: $200 at new egg, should I upgrade?

    You will have to get a heatsink and fan to go with it.

    if i was you dude i would invest in a vgood hsf and some vgood case fans and ask in the overclocking thread.

    it does look like a bargin to me tho.

    I heard that AMD was raising their prices by a bunch on their FX series at the moment, due to them preparing to release their newer FX models. I saw this at tgdaily.

    www.tgdaily.com, its on the front page I think.

    Don't know too much about this but just somethin I read :D

    I am SO mad at this deal!! I need the FX-60, how the hell can the FX-55 be so cheap now and the FX-60 is still $800+?!?!

    Anyways it looks like a pretty sweet deal to me, even without the t-shirt. ;-)

    I dont understand. You have an X2 3800, and you want to UPGRADE to and FX55?? The FX55 is single core, your X2, of coarse, is dual core. Thats not an upgrade.
