i have samsung 940mw. its native res. is 1440x900 will wii(480p) look better on sdtv(480i) or mine(hdtv)? i am asking because non hd content looks crappy on my hdtv, as it would for any hdtv.
I'm not sure if I understand your question. You can't view EDTV (480p) on a set that doesn't support progressive scan. I find it difficult to play video games on an LCD. Especially games with really dark scenes. Your Samsung 940MW has a low contrast ratio which is really bad for dark scenes. Have you hooked up any EDTV sources like a progressive scan DVD player? If DVDs look good then so will the Nintendo WII. If not I suggest a new TV/Monitor (maybe a plasma).
