Thanks for that, however i found a good website called i4u.com and it states that this week we could see the new nvidia graphic card. Does this seem to be correct and if so does that mean a world release date of this week or just America.
They are suposed to be out sometime this month. They are not going to be cheap. The 8800GTX could be between 600.00-700.00. From what ive heard from some of my friends this card is going to need a powerhouse of a system to run. Here are some specs on the GTX and GT GeForce 8800GTX : 575MHz core clock, 900MHz memory clock, 768MB of GDDR3, 384-bit memory interface, 86GB/s memory bandwidth, 128 unified shaders clocked at 1350 MHz, HDCP compliant, 450W PSU for single and 800W PSU for SLI Config GeForce 8800GTS : 500MHz core clock, 900MHz memory clock, 640MB of GDDR3, 320-bit memory interface, 64GB/s memory bandwidth, 96 unified shaders clocked at 1200MHz, HDCP compliant, 400W PSU for single and 800W PSU for SLI Config These card are about 11" long. You will need a high end CPU to take advantage of these. Ive been hearing at least 6700 Core 2 Duo or equivalent. 1 GTX beats 2 X1950XT's in crossfire.
Thanks for that. Well thing is I am getting a new PC and the last thing I want to do is buy a PC with old hardware such as a directx 9 graphics card. I dont mind about the opperating system so Vista is not a concern. All I know is I need a new PC very soon because my old laptop is very disapointing.
Well I have checked today and saw the release of the new Foxconn 8800 GTX, 8800 GTS and BFG's 8800 GTX. Both look very impressive, however is the launch just in America at the moment? Would any of you guys know? [bold]GrandpaBW[/bold] You maybe someone with alot of time on their hands to know there is nothing wrong with a directx 9 graphics card at the moment, but there is no need to behave like you did. I don’t have alot of time to keep check on these things so I just wanted to make sure that when I spend $3000 Australian dollars I get something that is reasonably up to date. Sorry if that frustrates you.
You're kidding, right? You called DirectX 9 graphics cards are old hardware. Are you nuts, or just a young "wet behind the ears" kid?
Ok [bold]GrandpaBW[/bold]? your just trying to start an argument, maybe its you that is the kid. Well I will leave it at that. Thanks to the rest of you guys for helping.
