I just purchased the E205R without doing full research (oops) - did not realize this was tied to the BestBuy/Rhapsody service. It appears that almost 50% of the capacity is taken up by the Rhapsody software and channel info (Windows shows capacity of 2GB with only 768MB Free). Synchronization only allows about 800MB of songs to be sent down. I have a couple of questions for you guys who have been using this device for a while: 1) Can the firmware be replace by the plain E250 firmware to remove the BestBuy/Rhapsody connection? I intend to use this strictly with Windows Media Player .... 2) Is it possible that the Rhapsody info is taking up that much space? If so, how do I delete it to make space available? (I formatted the unit using WinXP/My Computer and still see Rhapsody channel info/playlist headings but no change in capacity) 3) Can the E250 use the SanDisk 2GB capacity MicroSD Card that is hitting the market now? If not, what is the highest capacity add-in card that can be used?
Hey David Might want to post your questions over here http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=51 Ive read a few people trying to do opposite of what your asking, with no luck yet, If you just picked the sansa up can you just return it if you dont want the rhapsody edition? Good Luck
Thanks for the tip - I did post on Anything But site ..... Planning to return this weekend. Purchased the E250 plain model to replace it.
