Hi I recently did a full backup of my C drive prior to reformat and reinstall of XP. I used nero backitup (ver. 1.2.0.61)and the backup spread to 6 DVD's (DVD+ RW). On trying to get the data back off I am stuck. The program looks for .nbi files, but the data seems to be stored as .dat files. The first disc has 7 .dat files starting with BK_01_38 along with 14 languge files (look like email folders) and an "NRESTORE.exe" and its associated .cfg file. The last disc has only 3 dat files ending with file BK_38_38 No matter what I try I cannot seem to get this data back. I did notice a post on this earlier this year, but I haven't found the solution yet. PLEASE........anybody know how to sort this one out?
Hi again forgot to mention, the .DAT files have a windows media player icon, and just noticed tonight that some links on the web start nero backitup. Am I likely to have a conflict that links backitup to another prog, and what is likely to be influencing this? p.s. still not managed to get backitup to restore my files.
