Please post system specs. Like how much ram does it have and what cpu does it have? and what windows are you running? Also please check how many proccess's are running by holding ctrl alt and pressing delete. at the bottom it wll say.
check to see if ye processor is not running to hot? a simple test is to take ye side off ye computer, get a floor fan and have the air blow directly into the computer.
the system is not gettin to hot and it is not running to many processes. the system does it when its sitting not being used also. i recently moved and ever since i moved the comp it has now been freezing. i am not sure what the problem is but is is getting really frustrating. let me know if you have any ideas
It should be from the motherboard , i had the same problem with a Pentium 3 motherboard i didnt find the solution but i think that it is probably from the bios chip try flashing it if still the same issue then just buy a new motherboard .
reseat all cards, ram & cables to motherboard & drives(data & power) as might have jarred 1 somewhat loose when moving.
how do i flash the bios? i have reseaded all cars ram and cables so hopefully i can just flash the bios. let me know how to do that thanks again
Download this program http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/CPU-Z.shtml , when you start the program go to mainboard and tell us the motherboard model.
In the task manager check if there is a system process called SVCHOST.exe if yes then go to http://www.tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=3a1186b4b2db0a84f7d9afb428313b10&postid=95419 and see if any of the info helps.
is this your board http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=411 & if so than check this link for bios http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=411&kind=1 download & install 6738v14.exe to a folder as it has a word document in it on how to flash your bios besides the updated bios.
Yeh i had same problem with mine intel p4 3.2ghz lga775 always overheatng when playing games had to take cover off put a fan next to it and still was overheating when i was playing flight simulator x it would go up to 70c she was buring. so i went to core 2 runs nice now
this happens to me too, when ever i am running kaspersky antivirus (scanning my computer), when the system is about to go into the screen saver, whenever i right click, and when to copmuter is shutting down. i think it might be some sort of virus or something
ok i flashed the bios and still the same problem i know it is not a virus because i put a brand new hard driv in and still same problem. does anyone have anymore ideas thanks J
take a look at the can shaped objects on the motherboard which are capacitors, they are supposed to be flat topped not domed.
