   i was wondering if i brougt a computer originally have a SATA as a booting drive and if i want to install a ATA hard drive form the old computer as a additional storage drive on the computer is that possible???
   and what must i install inorder to make that work.

   yes can use ata for storage. tho for seagate still applies to other manufacturers. http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/howto/install_xp_disk_mgmt.html
