can we lock our notebook dvd rom

the dvd rom can be ejected out as soon as the power is supplied no matter i had password to enter windows.so, is there anyway to lock the dvd rom so that unless the password is entered ,it won't eject out?
if yes plz tell me

 

There may be a way, I'm looking into it. May I ask why you need/want to do this?

 

it is just for the security becoz some may does't know and touch the lens then the dvd rom doesn't work.previously also it happened to me so i want to lock the dvd rom.i m using acer note book and it has one facility to lock the dvd rom but it only lock the dvd to read the cd or dvd ,it doesn't lock the dvd ejection.if u have solution plz inform me

 

I don't think that si possible, after looking around. As it is all electrical there's not much you can do about it... sorry.
