hey people, I saved up a couple of bucks, bout ZAR18000 (something like $2500) and I would like to build a nice gaming PC. I will use it mainly for gaming, storing and editing media. this is what I have in mind:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHZ prosessor
    intel Bad aXe motherboard
    1 gig ddr2-667 RAM
     320GB sata II harddrive
    Sapphire X1950XTX graphic card
BENQ 19" LCD 4ms Response Time
    AOpen® 450Watt 20/24-Pin PSU
    Gigabyte™ Triton Chassis
    LITEON® DVD Multi-Writer + Lightscribe

and other extra's im considering is:
    320GB external HDD
    and wireless network card

please let me know what u guys think and give me some suggestions

    Looks good ;)

    However...
As far as I know, any 19" LCD monitor will not have a high enough resolution to take full advantage of that monster of a card, so I'd either tone down the gfx (nVidia 7600GT/7900GTO or ATI X1800GTO), or get a monitor with a res of 1600 x 1200 (full screen) or 1600 x 1920 (wide screen).

*gasp!* AOpen is probably cr@p, and will almost certainly not work with a E6600 and X1950XTX!. Get at least a 500w PSU from a reputable brand like Enermax, Antec, Hiper, or Seasonic.

also you might wanna get another gig of ram if you can stretch you budget to it.
