http://www.usb-ware.com/4-bay-hot-swap-sata-ii-raid-kit-bundle.htm i want to build a nice ftp site and i am runnin low on harddrive space, i have no more availble slots in my pc, i came across this and it looks very nice, my question is will this overheat since i plan to have it on all day and will the speed be decent since its gona beconected via pci card.
How much stuff do you plan on hosting? If I were you, I would throw together an old junky P2, with a 10/100 nic in it and a large hdd. It will serve fine as a FTP site. Just make sure you stack as much RAM as possible in it to help performance/prevent clogs. Its a much cheaper and simpler route ro take. ~Rich
