you need a 64bit os like win xp x64 or one of the many 64bit linux distro's.

ram and gcard wont know the differrence though.

looking at your sig you will want more ram for xp x64 to run a fast as xp does now on that machine. 64bit extensions are twice as long as 32bit ones.

is the game optimized for dual core cpus?

if yes, look for a game update from m$

if no, use task manager to set the affinity and force it on to one core.

could just be a driver issue with your 7600gt, mine has crashed to desk top a couple of times with older forceware.

i didnt say there was a cpu problem, did i ?

i said its a software problem, either with fsx not be multithreaded or with your forceware.

if you want to get more ram, its your cash, knock your self out.

if you want to test your ram get somthing like testram to test it.

I'm sure marsey99 was trying to help you out.

I wouldn't suggest you believe anything you think yourself without getting a second opinion.

Serioulsy - the question about 32 or 64 bit operating had me roflmao.

It's scary who gets let loose on kit these days.

P.S. you'll get more help without the attitude!
