I just bought a 300GB samasung hardrive and it only says when i'm formatting it that its gor 131700mb which is about 1.3GB how to i get the full out of it,well i know you cant get exactly that but near enought to it?
I don't have the answer... but I've experienced the same problem! I put a 300 GB Samsung drive into an external enclosure... it worked fine, until around 130 GB.Then It started giving me problems. I couldn't put anything else on it. I then read somewhere that it's only designed to utilize about that much memory space (instead of the full 300)... What's the deal with these drives? is there something that we're missing, or doing wrong?
install win xp sp1 or sp2 to get the full 300gb otherwise u cant get pas 130gb on win xp without service pack dude 131700mb is 128.6gb
