Ipod Subbing

    Anyone know how i can merge my avi file of FF7 AC with my SRT file. I want to merge them, then convert it for my shiny new ipod

    Well as I understand it iPods don't support ttext subs, so you would need to hard encode the subs into the video. How you would do that depends on how you were planning on converting to mp4.

    this may be in the wrong forum but all i want to know is how i can merge my avi and srt together into another avi file. I can then convert the avi file to Mp4 for ipod easy

    It's not the wrong forum for that, infact the same question is answered a few posts down, also a few posts past that, etc.

    Waste of time and quality (unless you encode losslessly though). Better to convert directly yo mp4 with subs.

    As I said, that depends on how you were planning on converting. If the app supports AVISynth scripts as input, you can create an AVISynth script, with the subs and just encode that.

    could this possibly work? make a super vcd with one subtitle option. then rip the vcd as i would a dvd into a combined avi file?
