I downloaded 7 CUE/APE files ready to be written on CD-Rs These are albums of a music group. I would like to convert them to mp3 files and keep them on PC, can I do thet somehow? Thanks for any help.

so you don't want to burn them to audio cd, you just want to convert them to mp3 to store on your computer, right?

The best converter I have come across is dBPowerAMP. it is free and can convert pretty much any type of audio file. You can find the link to the apps website in my sig below. be sure to download and install the LAME mp3 codec AND the ape codec from the website's codec page.
