I am looking for a laptop. I've pretty much made up my mind asbout the screen size 15.4 inches. There have been two laptops I've been looking at.

There has been the Toshiba A100-ST1042, its customizable, with Geforce 7300 graphics with 1 GB of ram and a T5500 core 2 duo. The hard drive is 100gb with 7200rpm.

The other laptop is a Hp dv6000t customizable also, and it has Gefroce 7400 graphics and a 120gb hard drive 5400rpm. SAme proccessor speed.

I was wondering if it was worth getting the Toshiba since it has a faster hard drive speed. Is it going to make it that much faster in terms of processing speed? How much better are the graphics provided with both computers compared to the 950 integrated graphics from Intel?

1st having faster hard drives is better especially on a laptop so i would go with the toshiba, then the video cards the 7300 and 7400 beat the intel any day since they r meant for rendering games while intel just meant for watching movies and moving the mouse they r not meant for gaming

faster speeds = faster seek times but it also makes more heat and needs more power.

you want to look for somwere that reviews laptops and see how they do with real world usage.

Thanks for the input.... So would I be able to play some games like halo and call of duty 2 with the 5400rpm drives since it is a lot slower... Where can I get those kinds of review sites, thanks again
