HI

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong when I am downloading an xbox 360 game.

I use smart par then extract file to folder then burn the dvd file, but seem to get coasters. Do I need to use ss merger for patching or are these games pre done.

Thanks

What media are you using?

What speed are you burning them at?

You get two files?

The game maybe patched but it might not be!?

Could be the media? Try and buy Verbatim, the best by far, not one fail. You pay a little extra but well worth it.

The games i get are already patched, but normally when you patch a game you just get the .bin file and merge it to the .ISO etc.

DVD Writer is fine.

Anyone tried the Sony DVD+R DL discs? They cost more than Verbatim but I bet they won't boot due to them being Sony. LOL.

my friend said he tried Sony but then it won't boot. He uses Verbatim and they work every time. Usually $50 for a pack of 25, so yah use w/ caution.

I made the mistake of buying sony's they will boot on newer systems like the Benq and MS 28's but they have trouble reading on hitachis and MS 25's. I wouldnt waste your money

Both of those are junk. If you've burnt a working backup, then that narrows your problem down to a bad laser or crappy media. My bet's on the crappy media.
