WHAT IS LINUX

i dont mean to sound like a newb but what is linux. i know its the thing to softmod. but what is it, in detail

 

Dude, how hard is it to use the forum search, or read some of the other threads here?
This has been answered several times.
Not to mention that since you mention softmods, you're in the wrong forum, as softmods have f*ckall to do with linux for the most of it, and everything to do with xbox.
