I have a dell 8250 that came with 512 mb of rd ram. I have an other wise good computer. I want to upgrade to one gig the problem is rd ram for an 8250 cost waaaay to much(aproximately 450). I was wondering if I change the motherboard and get ddr ram like everyone else how much would that cost? Is it even possible ive heard dell is very parts specific ie. I cant just change non dell certified parts? Please some help for an affordable solution. Thanx in advance!

    dell 8250
    Pentium 4 2.4ghz
    512 mb rd ram
radeon 9700 ... im a pc gamer and I run games suprisingly well with these settings. I think the extra ram would help tho make things xbox360 quality.

is the current board atx or uatx in size? how many connectors attach to motherboard from psu? how many pins on each connector from psu? what is the slot used by the videocard? what is the wattage of the psu? is the connector from the front of case for the power button & leds, is it 1 piece or multiple pieces?
