    I've got Nero 7 and I'm trying to burn a Cue+Bin file onto a DVD+RW.

When I insert the DVD in the drive and select the cue file, it tells me that there is no cd in teh drive or that I have the wrong type of CD/DVD in there.

I have placed the DVD+RW in the DVD RW drive.

    What could be the problem?

    Appreciate the help.

most of the times bin-cue files are vcd files , you can convert them to go on dvd's, if the files are small enough put them on a cd, if not use vso convertxtodvd, hope that helps good luck happy burning have a nice day

Its not the burning which is a problem. Its the fact that my DVD RW drive will not recognize or will not record onto a DVD+RW DVD when it is in the drive.
    It just wont recognize it.

    Any ideas?

If these are newer disks, you may need a firmware update for your drive to recognise them.
Post you make & model fo the drive here :)

Hi Ripper, that doesn;t seem to be a valid link. Can you please recheck.

BTW, what should I do after I run it?

I went to update the firmware and it informed me that I already had the latest update.
Anyway, I proceeded and after the reboot, I tried to burn the DVD again.

    The same problem crops up.

Here is the problem which I see...

Are you trying to burn it as a VIDEO_DVD yes? Not a VIDEO_CD...

Yes, I selected DVD from the Nero Start Smart list and then selected "Burn Image" before proceeding.

Oh I just realised what it is. You can't burn bin/cue onto DVDRw. They are CD only image files...

Even though I selected it as an image?

I thought that I should be able to burn anything I want onto a DVD RW.
    Is this not so?

You have Roxio and Nero installed on the same PC? No conflicts?

Well, whatever, but I would suggest burning a VCD as opposed to a DVD.

Oh I see. I thought you had them both on the same PC. As when together on one PC (well HDD) they conflict.

    My bad Ireland ;-)
