help please...turned off pc ,went to turn it back on,nothing

    help please...turned off pc ,went to turn it back on,nothing

    the power supply is lit.the light on the monitor is lit.i`ve also took out the ram and put other ram in,nothing....what can this be?....thx in advance cheers

    uh...how do u even post this msg if ur pc is not on?
    ok wateva i had the same problem...wat i did is pull out the power plug and plug in it PROPERLY...

    i have another pc...lol...i went and bought another power supply,i doubt anything else is wrong...the mobo`s green light is lit but it still seems like its not getting the right power to turn on...it was a cheap hiper r 580 power supply and i have a feeling its shorted out cause when i connect the plug and flip the switch to the power supply,the fans light up for a second and then go out......

    im not sure but if yours is the brand new build i saw,i would check the way you wired the case to the mobo.i had a similar problem and had the wrong power wire hooked up wrong to the mobo,switched the wires around and then it booted right up...cheers

    had that happen with a customer recently. psu fan was almost seized cooking 9-11 capacitors til they domed.

    cool man...i figured that`s what it was,im hoping anyways...lol...it`s coming overnighted,so i ll have it tomarrow.well there are 2 fans on the psu.a lower and a back fan,well the back fan was cracked and seized when i took it apart and there was so much dust inside,it looked like the desert...lol..im hoping it`s the psu...ill never buy crap parts ever again...i bought some cheap ram at first,it burnt out in 3 days.replaced it with some corsair,never had a problem again....thx ddp...cheers

    hey man,
    still freakin problems...this power supply is a beast...lol...everything lights up,no posting or booting at all...four or fifth light on ram lights yellow and then turns off.im figuring the ram got screwed in the process to...im crying...getting rma as we speak...only one thing left after the ram...i dont want to buy a cpu...lol...cheers mate

    btw i cleaned my sign and its cool now right??? ive had that sign there since 2005...lol...sry dude

    no problem. check the can shaped objects on the motherboard which are capacitors, they are to be flat topped not domed
