Motherboard Failure - Need new compatible one

    Looks like my sons Motherboard has failed.

    It's a Gigabyte GA-8ISXT-FS. Trouble is, this is no longer made, so he's looking for a modern day compatible one (not neccessarily a Gigabyte model)


    Gigabyte

    His CPU is an Intel 2.8Gb

    Can anyone suggest a current motherboard that he can re use his CPU (and other peripherals) ?

    make sure the proccser and RAM are compatible. also check wat kind of HD ur son has and make sure if its a SATA or ATA the mobo can take it also u will have to reactavite windows if ur son is running XP because of all the hardware changes

    Thanks for the advise guys, I'll be looking into the 2 boards recommended.

    And thanks for the timely reminder about re activating Windows, I'd forgotten that little challenge.
