a tuner would allow you to watch tv on your computer. to see your computer's info on your tv, you should already have an s-video output on your computer. if your tv has an s-video input, you're gold. if not, you can buy a cable to let you connect with the component cables.

are they less then 50 dollars and will they have a s-video output bcuz i've gone through reviews about tv tuner and people say they have bad quality and stuff but what i'm lookin for is the ability to use my tv as a monitor to watch videos from my computer or watch some off youtube. people say that the text are all blurry and u can hardly see it.

    Hey Truth

This is the prob. we all have when trying to set up the way you are, i hook up my comp to tv via s-video cable. but soemtimes if you have older cable with just the antenna wire stuff, it can really mess up the picture. unfortunatley unless you get an hdtv, the image on your tv will not come out very clear... and if you have that cable, there's a chance that there will be all these lines running in it. but, if not, use a program like TheaterTek DVD which runs quite well with the native res. of reg tv, and you can use your keyboard to run it...

    sorry for the long post

your PC should have a VGA port. Try a wireless pc to tv converter. you can get info from
    http://www.pctotvconverter.com

I use FlyImage5000 which is very nice!

    hey,

if you guys have any HD type tv. then it will work.

the reason tv's are usually blurry, it because computers can't replicate such bad resolution that normal TVs have.

i just bought a nice little 23 inch lcd HD TV that i connect to my pc no prob... some of them even have agp-in, which is a complete direct connect so it's just like a monitor.

I've a question for you guys that is similar to this one: What do I need in order to connect my DVD player up to a computer monitor? My DVD player has the S-Video out and the normal Yellow, Red, and White outputs.

    Thanks.
