tools for converting avi to dvd

    can someone please help, I have a Philips DVD+RW and have a number of downloaded AVI files on my PC, I have no problem making VCD/SVCD discs but need serious help in converting longer movie files to go onto a DVD+RW disc, everything i try results in failure
    Please help this PC illiterate fool before i go insane

    I would assume John that you've used TMPGEnc to encode VCD / SVCD...?

    If you have then use that to get your MPEG file(s) & then use TMPGEnc DVD Author , guide to be found here http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/tmpgenc_dvd_author.htm
