I did a fresh install of XP Professional and started re-loading software. I found a strange issue and wanted to post it. I am using AVG Free Anti-Virus software. After installing Divx Bundle (6.4), I found I could no longer access the CD/DVD drive. In the system properties, it shows there is a problem with the driver or device. I read on the Divx site that some anti-virus software reads Divx as a false positive. I unloaded the Anti-Virus software it still did not fix the problem. After using a restore point a few times, I have narrowed it down to the Divx 6.4 bundle. I still use the AVG free anti-virus sofware, so I would say it's a combination of the two. Has anyone else experienced this?
I did DivX 6.4 on two computers and both have this problem. Its pissing me off that DivX has nothing posted on their site and they haven't responded to my e-mails. DivX sucks to begin with so be smart and don;t install it! The video and audio quality is complete shit.
