I recently recieved a movie that I opend in G Spot to find out what codec was used to encode it, so that I could use TMPGEnc plus to encode it to DVD, the codec used was something called S-Mpeg 4 version 3, what is this and where can I get a plugin for TMPGEnc so that I can put my movie on to a DVD.

You dont need a codec! Just pass it through TMPGEnc and you're set! Actually, as it is you might already be able to burn it into VCD -- try to, if you can't then the burning app will tell you what need to be changed (i.e., pass it through TMPGEnc)

If you are adamant on getting the codec, i think it comes with the Media Player 8 (or 9) codec pack. If its not there, open the movie up in AVICodec and it should give you a link directly to the codec.
