IRSHELL 3.00
This is one of the greatest apps for the psp and there have been numerous threads of people having slight trouble with it, so heres my tut.

Youll also need the pronto hex codes, here

Well its as simple as this, you will get a folder called IRSHELL in the download. Put your psp in usb mode and place this in your memory stick root ( the first screen you see when you open the psp in my computer alongside PSP etc.)
Then place the two folders (irshell150 and irshell150%) in your ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.
Come out of USB mode and locate IRSHELL on your psp. Once located, select it and load it.

You will now need to put the files necessary to control your electronic device.
Open the pronto hex codes (from download) and look for the brand of your product,
Push the analog stick up to enable USB mode in irshell then place the .rdf file in ms0:/IRSHELL/IRCODES. There are othe codes in there that are supplied like xbox 360 control etc.

After this is done keep pressing square until you arrive at the correct menu or just select rdf codes on the main menu.

then locate your RDF (for example im using the xbox music rdf.)


then control away :)

IRshell allows the playback of pmp ,pmf, can extract RAR and ZIP. and is a file organiser. you can refer to the readme for other instructions and contol configurations :)

once you got to grips with it, heres some additional skins etc, (thanks pspbrew.com)

you flick the analog switch down and it says do you want to exit etc.
well theres loadsa brands so what i just do is copy the entire brand to my MS and use any code , it doesnt have to be the exact one.

ahh damn it only does it by brand! my TV is a philips...

im sure theres phillips there, but other codes may operate it, i tell you anothe good thing that just s**t the life outta me, when your battery level goes below a certain % a woman on irshell says your psp battery is running low, wlel im sat downstairs in the dark on my owm, my god did it make me jump lol

********UPDATE********
if you look in the pronto hex codes (in user supplied codes)there is one for the PS2 i forgot to mention about, it works really well but it cant be used as a controller for a game that well as if you hold the button it doesnt keep giving out the command if you get me. and there is phillips brand in there TOURAN :)

hey hodgins,how do you change the skin for the irshell

Scroll over to the icon and look for when it says "Ir shell configurator" at the bottom left. Hit X to run it. scroll all the way down until u see skin browser. Hit x. There are all of them so far. You can preview them by hitting X. If you see one you like, hit X to install it. Then HIt save changes. And there you go. Go load it again.

no , if u look on top of your psp, theres that lil balck oval, thats the Infra red command thing, but you can use wifi for other things , ill update later with other stuff to do

hey hodgins how do i play my own music while im playing game? can i tbe doen with Irshell?

yes, just put a .mp3 in your PSP/MUSIC folder and then start playing it, then load a game, i dont know about anyone else but i cant seem to get it to work with devhook yet, but i know it works with umd's

so when u play it you have to let it play when u load da game? and also so it wont play when i load devhook adn then a game?

yes just leave it playing, it may work thru devhook, i havent tried it yet, ( the new one) but in previous versions it didnt work

im new around here and wondering does the PSP do all the work when changing the channel or is there another setup like a web server control box called the WACI NX.
If not how does the PSP do that and does that mean you can change your neigbours t.v. if your in range.

yh man u dnt any other settings except teh right .pdf and yes u can change neiboughs channel but u need to be pretty close to change the channel!
