Hi, I know this topic has been discussed before, but I am wondering if there is a specific guide for what I want. This is what I want to be able to do. I want to be able to rip a dvd (which I can do), and then convert it to a 1CD DIVX 3,5, or XVID (whichever is better). To that end, I also don't need any AC3 audio, etc., just standard 96 or 64 K MP3 audio. Also, if prefrable I want to be able to do everything at once, meaning no demux, remuxing, etc. From what I have read that means that I should use FlaskMPEG. Well I have seen guides for Flask, but only for versions 0.594, and preview 6. However, many of the DVDs I want to convert are NTSC Progressive, which I have heard that the old Flasks cannot deal with Progressive well. But I have heard that the NEW BETA of Flask 0.78.39 can deal with them. Therefore I wanted to know if there is a guide / info somewhere on how exactly I can use FlaskMPEG 0.78.39 to convert my NTSC Progressive DVD into a 1 CD (700MB) DIVX or XVID file with descent quality. Thanks. SuperG03
Well im not sure about finding any flask guides but you can find a ton of guides for making divx/ xvid encodes at http://www.dvdrhelp.com or here for divx: http://www.nanomessiah.com/DVD-To-DivX.html here for xvid: http://www.nanomessiah.com/DVD-To-XviD.html
