    Hello all,
Just a question as to compatibility issues.
I have a ASUS P5B-VM Socket T (LGA 775) Intel G965 Express Micro ATX Intel Motherboard, and I need memeory for it So I was looking into OCZ 2GB EL Gold XTC Edition Dual Channel Kit (2 x 1GB) for it.

My Question: The motherboard specs via the ASUS website requires the use of 1.8v memory, but the OCZ memory cards are 2.0v. Is this going to cause me problems? The simplistic specs for the motherboard on newegg states that it uses the standard DDR 800 240 pin memory up to 8gb. The memory is of this type but the voltages are different.

    What are your thoughts?

    As always, Thank you

my thoughts are, you might be lucky and it will post, then you can change it in the bios (if it lets you) so they get the correct voltage. on the other hand it might not post and you will need some other ram to post then you could change the voltage in the bios (again if it will let you) then fit the ocz modules.

you want to find out what options the bios has for the ram voltage, and what ocz say about min volts.

you should be able to find the info thru these, sorry i havent got time to right now otherwise i would post links directly to the right pages.
