you will need a dvd drive and a hard disk. or 2 of each, 1 rom, 1 writer and 1 hdd for programs and 1 for data.

    edit
i think we would all like to know how far the nf68 mobo can push the core 2 duo, but they are still so new we dont realy know yet.

with some serious water cooling you should get 3.6ghz+ how much more is the big question.

You can use your old hardrive but you will have to purchase a new copy of windows either way.

depending on the motherboard chipset, might not need to re-install windows

hi there. im looking to build my first computer soon and am gathering up all my parts. i was wondering what would be the best operating system to buy. the computer will be used mostly for games and backing up my dvds and music. so should i go with windows xp pro or windows media center. at this website i buy from they have several different versions of windows xp pro. there is one in just a sleeve and the other is in the box. also the price is higher on the one with the box. which one should i get to install. or does it even matter at all. one cost $139.00 and the boxed one cost $199.00. i just want to make sure that i get the right one to install. this will be a computer new from ground up. nothing is going to be reused at all.

if you have any suggestions please let me. that way when i start buying i know what im after. thanks in advance.
