I cannot get my PC to play DVDs.
The PC is powerful enough . there is a DVD ROM set to correct region.
There is Direct X and Intervideo DVDXPack.
And Wind0ws Media Player 9. XP Pro.
How do I get it all to work.? Is there a god tutorial somewhere.

    I'm looking!

You need a DVD player - not including your Media Player: I have had hit and miss with WMP trying to play DVDs. What you really need is a dedicated DVD Player (I reccommend PowerDVD/WinDVD)

    - DirectDVD Player: http://www.orionstudios.com/DirectDVD.html
    - MicroDVD Player (was free): http://www.tiasoft.de/
    - SuperDVD Player: http://www.alldj.com/
    - XingDVD (free i think): http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/xingdvd.html
    - CyberLink PowerDVD: http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/products/product_main.jsp?ProdId=28
    - WinDVD: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Home.jsp_X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7V8X-X, AMD2500+
    Samsung 1024MB, PC2700
    360GB [3x120GB, 7200, 8MB]
    MSI Starforce, GeForce4 Ti4400 128MB

After inserting a DVD you must double click on the icon to get Win DVD to play the disc (intervideo). If it doesn't automatically then right click and go to 'source' and choose the drive the disc is in. Make sure that WinDVD recognises the drive. In WMP you must select the drive the disc is in before clicking on play.
