Card Reader not working

    When i put any card sd mmc etc the card reader might pick it up but then it freezes my computer. when i put a card in it either picks it up and starts to boot it a computer crashes or nothing happens at all.

    I need help because it driving me up the wall and i need help

    What card reader are you using?
    What operating system are you using?
    What format is the media card in?
