Looking for a fairly cheap laptop (£300 - £400), need help in deciding which to get.

    Hi, for christmas I'm hoping to get a laptop (£300 - £400) like I said. I want one with: 512mb ram, dvd writer, at least 60gb hdd, built in wireless and a descent brand. I'm in the UK so it must be a UK retailer.
    Here are some I've seen:
    Packard Bell
    Toshiba

    Has anyone from the UK seen a laptop computer with a spec like these? Are these cheap laptops good?
