Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

compressing same files twice with dvd shrink

#1 24 Jul 2003 @ 15:04
I like to compress Extra Features and menus on full disc mode as much as possible without making them still pictures so that I can have as much room for the movie title as possible. I'm about to back up one of my DVDs, and to make it so that I wouldn't have to compress the main movie title at all, I'd have to run the whole lot through DVD Shrink twice so that I can compress the Extra features/menus more than the maximum 45% allowable on a single run. Has anybody else done this? If so, does ripping the movie title with DVD Shrink (choosing 0% compression) and then, in a sense, re-ripping the movie title (again with 0% compression) with the ripped files produced from the first compression run cause any quality loss for the movie title when it's all said and done, even though I'm choosing 0% compression both times? Thanks
