If you try this out post your results cause i have no other bricked psps to try this on. I apolagize if this doesn't work, i wasn't quite sober when all this went down, but lets hope this is how it happened.

1. power on system
2. flip WLAN UP into the ON position
3. Press HOME + START+ SELECT
4. You should here the system restarting. screen will display the xmb with the error message "game could not be loaded"

Even if this doesn't cure psps bricked in other ways, I can almost guarantee it will help anyone having the problem after using dark alex 's downgrader where the screen doesn't come on.
